NtechLab has announced that its FindFace Multi video analytics system helped Russian police locate 250 missing children in the Novosibirsk region in under 18 months. The platform forms part of the regional Safe City surveillance complex and has been available for child searches since April 2025.
The system continuously analyzes live video streams from cameras positioned at transport facilities, streets, public squares, and government institutions. When a match is detected, the software alerts law enforcement, allowing officers to respond quickly and locate the child. NtechLab emphasizes that the AI performs only the recognition task, while all subsequent investigative actions are carried out by humans.
In addition to missing children cases, the same analytics have supported the search for wanted individuals. According to the company, the technology contributed to the detection of more than 3,000 offenders in the region during 2025 alone. NtechLab develops recognition solutions for faces, silhouettes, vehicles, and license plates, with projects implemented in over 70 Russian regions and 34 countries worldwide.
The figures were provided directly by NtechLab and reported via TASS. No granular data on individual incidents or average response times was released.
