Testing Sinonix Controlled Data Exchange System with VEGMAN R220 G3 Servers and TATLIN.BACKUP.M Storage

YADRO and IT Bastion conducted extensive performance testing of the Sinonix information exchange control system using high-capacity VEGMAN R220 G3 servers and TATLIN.BACKUP.M storage arrays. The tests simulated one-way data transfer scenarios for disaster recovery and air-gapped backup environments required by Russian presidential decree No. 604 on critical infrastructure protection. Multiple fio workloads were run for up to five hours under both light and heavy queue-depth profiles with MTU sizes of 1500 and 9000. Results showed that Sinonix introduced minimal overhead in moderate workloads and up to 27 percent reduction under heavy parallel loads when using jumbo frames. The setup replicated multi-tier protective perimeters including synchronous replication, one-way safe zones, and remote immutable storage. The testing confirmed stable long-term operation without degradation or failures across all configurations.

Innostage Lab Benchmarks PT NGFW 1.10.3 Performance in Eight Load Scenarios

Innostage researchers conducted extensive performance testing of PT NGFW version 1.10.3, the certified release at the time of trials. The evaluation covered TCP connection setup rates, concurrent session capacity, and throughput on a custom EMIX traffic profile with varying security modules enabled. Tests used Cisco TRex generators and a high-rule-count policy of 100,000 entries to simulate realistic enterprise conditions. Results showed the device sustaining 700,000 CPS and 6.4 million concurrent connections, matching or approaching vendor claims under HA-cluster configuration. Throughput remained above 27 Gbps even with IPS, application control, antivirus, NAT, URL filtering, and logging active. The report highlights differences in test methodology compared with vendor figures, including packet sizes and clustering setup.

InfotecsTech Builds Custom Kubernetes-Based Traffic Generator for NGFW RnD and Performance Testing

InfotecsTech developed an in-house traffic generator to support development and testing of its high-performance NGFW cluster in active-active mode. The team rejected commercial solutions from IXIA and Xinertel due to high cost, insufficient flexibility for complex NGFW functions, and geopolitical restrictions. The resulting platform runs on Kubernetes with a master node managing Registry, Discovery, and Crux components while worker nodes host containerized generators. Supported generators include Cisco TRex for throughput and connection testing, SIPp for VoIP scenarios, pyftpdlib-based FTP generator, Yandex Tank with Nginx for live TLS traffic, and Selenium-based legitimate clients against OWASP Juice Shop. Practical scenarios cover VoIP call storms, maximum concurrent connections, 400 Gbit/s UDP throughput, 5 million CPS, and IMIX traffic at 300 Gbit/s with packet loss analysis. The system integrates Camunda for full automation of test scenarios and device configuration.
