The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) added two actively exploited vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog on October 27, 2026.
The first entry, CVE-2026-111497, affects Google’s Brotli data compression library. The flaw exists in the decompression routine and can be triggered by processing maliciously crafted compressed data, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution, information leakage, or denial of service.
Because Brotli is widely integrated into other software for decoding tasks, multiple vendors have already issued updates to address the issue. Products that embed the vulnerable decoder are considered at risk until patched.
The second vulnerability, CVE-2026-48356, impacts the file upload processing logic in Adobe Commerce and Magento. Attackers can abuse the flaw to compromise affected e-commerce installations.
CISA’s action underscores that both vulnerabilities are being exploited in real-world attacks, requiring immediate remediation by organizations running the affected software.
