Check Point Software Technologies has disclosed multiple critical remote code execution vulnerabilities in its Quantum Security Gateway and associated VPN components. The flaws, identified as CVE-2026-85102 and CVE-2026-85103, were detailed in a security advisory published on September 9, 2026, and both received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 9.8, classifying them as Critical.
CVE-2026-85102 arises from insufficient certificate validation during the VPN negotiation phase. In Remote Access VPN and Site-to-Site VPN configurations, this weakness allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass authentication mechanisms and execute arbitrary code on the gateway.
CVE-2026-85103 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability discovered in the ASN.1 decoding process used for VPN certificates. Exploitation of this flaw also permits unauthenticated remote code execution without requiring valid credentials.
Affected products include Quantum Security Gateway and Quantum Security Management. The vendor has made live patches available through Check Point Live Patch (CPLP) in addition to standard software updates to mitigate the risks.
